Anime Festival Asia 2008 was held in Singapore recently on the 22nd to the 23rd of November 2008. I had the chance to go visit the event and check out what was happening. Quite a lot of things went on like manga competitions, gaming events and various anime merchandise on sale.
The main highlights however were the invited guests that came ranging from the famous Kunio Okawara who designed the mecha for Gundam 00, Ichirou Mizuki the man who sang many anime songs and yes the latest May’N who is the songstress for Sheryl Nome in Macross Frontier. Well I don’t have any pictures to prove or such but when May’N got on stage the crowd went wild. It was the event highlight of the night. No videos or pictures were allowed though however the usual crowd of illegals could not be stop as the people who did not have the VIP Premium tickets were probably too far away to be monitored closely.

Putting the AFA aside, this is the first time that May’N has gone overseas to perform internationally. Yes so we were all part of her first time performing outside of Japan. Great night to remember for the fans.
